Objective
Redesign the BCRPVPA website and admin tools to improve usability for members and staff. Goals included modernizing the brand, streamlining scholarship submissions and memberships, and creating a new WordPress admin area to support newsletters, program updates, meeting notes, and benefits.
Role
UX Lead, Web Designer & Project Manager.
Process
I conducted user interviews and facilitated workshops, translating UX insights into simple, practical terms so directors and members could easily engage with the project. This research revealed that many processes, including memberships and scholarship applications, were still paper-based. I redesigned these flows digitally, introduced electronic signatures for applications, and improved navigation across the platform.
On the admin side, I built a new WordPress area where staff could easily manage newsletters, scholarships, meetings, and member updates without technical barriers. Alongside this, we refreshed the brand visuals to give the site a modern and professional look.
Outcome
The client received a modernized website and admin platform informed by real user feedback, with digital workflows that replaced outdated paper processes. Scholarship submissions increased by 300%, and membership grew by 50% following the launch. Tasks like content updates became faster, while usability significantly improved for both staff and members.

Alongside the design and development, a large part of this project was rooted in UX research. Through interviews, workshops, and user journey mapping, we uncovered the real challenges faced by members and directors. These insights shaped the redesign and are captured in the documents below, which illustrate the process from discovery to solution.
